Jewellery Care Guide

How to take good care of your jewellery

Gold-plated jewellery is made of sterling silver, plated with 18 carat gold. The gilding will wear over time.

Store your jewelery in separate bags to avoid the jewellery scratching each other.

Avoid oxidizing your jewellery by placing it in an airtight bag. They should not be hung unprotected on a jewellery stand, for example. And it is important that they are dry when placed in a bag.

Always take off your jewellery when washing, bathing, swimming, playing sports and cleaning. Avoid contact with hairspray and creams. Do not sleep with the jewellery on.

You can clean your jewellery gently with a soft toothbrush or if oxidized clean with a soft cloth and silver dip.

Gold plating is a surface treatment on top of sterling silver and will therefore eventually lose the surface treatment due to wear.

The stones we use are unique semi-precious stones. Not two are alike. These will from nature differ in shape and colour. Some will be darker than others and some may have stains.  These characteristics is what makes them special. That is why we use them and treasure them. We hope you will too.
